Feeling tired when you have places to go and things to do can be one of the most frustrating things ever! Running your body down when it’s tired can also lead to stress, illness, and plain old bad moods, too! The good news is that by following these simple tips you can beat the fatigue monster and be full-energy wherever you go without relying on false energy from coffee, sugar, and excess carbs.
Get enough of it! If you’re dragging during the day, especially within a few hours of waking up, it might be time to take a serious look at your sleeping patterns. You may need an hour more than some people – so don’t compare your sleep needs to others’. Get enough for you, and you’ll feel great! Sleep is the only time your body can really heal itself fully – so there is no room for skimping on this one!
Make sure that your diet is filled with clean foods that are light, easy to digest, and good for you. A lack of even just a few essential nutrients can seriously impact your energy, so make sure your diet gives you everything you need to succeed and you’ll be amazed at the burst of energy it gives you!
Stress is the number one energy drainer. If you spend your day on level 10 stress, expect to feel tuckered out early on. It actually takes a lot out of your body and mind to maintain stress levels… so the more stressed you are, the more your body is working to keep things balanced. Stick to what makes you feel good, brings you peace, and keeps you happy.
Often times we spend more energy doing things than we need to because we are rushing and pushing. Try to kick it down a notch, take things a little slower, and give your body and mind time to catch up and revive after projects.
Don’t forget to take breaks throughout the day to just relax, breathe, close your eyes for a few moments, and smile. These little breaks can change your entire day – and they work wonders for your mood and energy levels! A mid-day walking meditation, gentle stretching session, or song sung out loud can ramp your energy levels up instantly and give you a little attitude adjustment if needed as well!
