A Gratitude Meditation

A Gratitude Meditation

Can you believe that November is already at a close? It seems as though the month of gratitude this year flew by! Many of us were busy exploring our gratitude and finding new ways to celebrate life – and as they say, time flies when you’re having fun!

As we release all of the work we’ve done this month to our future, I’d like to share a simple yet powerful meditation that you can do anytime, anywhere, to cultivate waves of gratitude and positive energy within yourself. This gratitude meditation is so simple that anyone can learn it, but it is powerful in truly far reaching ways.

The gratitude meditation I want to share with you is simply the act of counting your blessings. Taking time to review the day or pan back from the moment and look at the things that stand out as good in life is a sure-fire way to change everything for the good! Here are some time of the day that you can call up grateful things in your mind and heart…

  • While stuck in traffic
  • While walking
  • While cooking
  • While drifting off to sleep
  • While waiting in line
  • While cleaning

The interesting thing I’ve found is that whatever you happen to be doing while you generate gratitude thoughts, you tend to bless that activity and raise its energy. If you fall asleep in a state of profound gratitude, for example, you are more likely to have beautiful dreams and wake up feeling positive and joyful the next day. If you think gratitude and positivity while cleaning your house, you may just find that the work goes faster and the cleaning you do happens on both spiritual and physical levels.

Try this simple gratitude meditation for yourself the next time you have a few minutes to spare and it will prove to you why gratitude is such a powerful state of mind to be in!
