Did you know that the more we love ourselves the more we can love others and openly receive more love from the world around us? Cultivating self love is one of the hardest things we can do and one the most important things we can do. Recognizing that we are miracles and that are here for a special reason is the first step to embracing just how valuable we really and connecting to how much love and energy there is in the world.
One of the easiest and most powerful ways to cultivate self love is to make really great choices about the food we eat. What we eat becomes fuel and nourishment for the bodies we have. If we eat junk food that’s over-processed, high in preservatives, and rich in things that our bodies don’t like we are essentially making a statement that we have little love for ourselves. When we choose foods that are clean, natural, and healthy we are saying that we choose to only give ourselves the best.
Food is a powerful way to connect with the world around us and to openly receive the endless blessings we have access to. Enjoying fresh fruit, greens, or grains can help us connect to the Earth and realize that everything we need is all around us!
As we choose more healthy and empowering foods to add to our diet, things start to change in pretty amazing ways. We start to feel proud of ourselves and we start to realize how amazing and miraculous our bodies and minds are. We start to see the beauty in nature and recognize the colors, scents, and flavors that nature offers which we may have overlooked in the past. We also start to get healthier in body, mind, and spirit which leads to feeling pretty great!
I am not a fan of dieting, but I am a fan of lifestyle changes. Instead of approaching the foods you eat from the position of dieting and restriction, why not try choosing the foods that simply show love to your whole being? Seek out the good, simple, and healing things in life and steer clear of everything else. It can be that simple!
