As we continue our exploration of the chakras, I’d like to share a super simple but deeply powerful meditation with you that has the ability to cleanse and empower your own energy centers in a matter of minutes while also offering you a profound gift of peace, clarity, and joy. I encourage you to try this meditation for several days – and I know you’ll be hooked on the amazing feelings and blessings it offers!
As with all healing and meditation practices, start by ensuring that you have a safe space where you won’t be disturbed for 10-15 minutes. Feel free to add anything to the mix like music, candles, incense, aromatherapy, or other things to make yourself feel more empowered and aligned.
Start off by simply getting comfortable in your body. Sit or lie down so that you can fully relax. Take a minute or so to just settle in, steady your breathing, and feel solid.
2. Become Aware
Bring your attention to the 7 energy centers in your body. Each chakra corresponds to a physical location (see chart below). Starting from the top of your head, go down one by one and just try to ‘feel’ or ‘experience’ the area.
3. Cleanse & Empower
Now, with each chakra starting from the bottom up, simple inhale and see the color of that chakra flooding in. At the exhale, feel or perceive any negativity, imbalance, or toxicity being sent out. Here are the colors to work with…
Root – Red
Sacrum – Orange
Solar Plexus – Yellow
Heart – Green
Throat – Blue
Forehead – Indigo/Dark Blue
Crown Of Head – Purple
Just breathe in healthy, empowering color energy and exhale the rest. Feel your body release and heal with each cycle.
