What’s Growing In Your Garden?

What’s Growing In Your Garden?

I think that this is one of the most inspirational times of year! As I walk around my neighborhood and in my own yard, I see all kinds of plants in full bloom and all kinds of edibles starting to grow. All of the flowers look amazing, there is a sweet scent in the air, and people are spending more time out in their yards working with the land. I can’t help by be motivated to create when so much around me is growing and blooming!

The month or so before the Summer officially begins is a time when the weather is perfect and the atmosphere has that sweet nature to it. This is a time when I start spending a lot more time outdoors enjoying the blessings that come from nature and from the world around me. This is also a time that I contemplate what kinds of seeds I have planted not only in my garden – but in my life!

Our thoughts and feelings are like seeds. When we have them, we plant them. If we nurture those thoughts and feed them by paying attention to them and keeping them up, they end up taking root and growing into our realities. It’s important to take time throughout the year to make sure that all that grows in your ‘soul garden‘ is good, and that no weeds have taken over.

When we have negative, angry, self-depreciating, or worrisome thoughts that we choose to focus on, we end up growing weeds in our minds and in our hearts. These thoughts turn in to our realities – and they can actually choke out the ‘positive plants’ we have as well! One small negativity weed can ruin an entire garden of positive plants – so we have to be steadfast gardeners and always keep our attention on what we are manifesting for our lives. It’s all about positive thinking!

One of the best ways to make sure that no weeds get inside your garden is simplyto stick with positive thinking, live gratitude at every moment, and surround yourself with the things and people you love – and who love you in return. Tap in to the authentic ‘heirloom’ you and see what about life makes you fee the most happy, the most alive, and the most blessed. This is like your plant food. Once you identify it – dig in and let yourself grow!

Summer is just a few weeks away, and I am so excited to start tasting fresh fruits, veggies, and herbs! While you enjoy the many things growing in the world around you right now, take some time to plant some beautiful things within yourself as well… you deserve it!

Remember: the sun shines equally on us all… we just have to make the choice to step out and soak up the blessings!

  2. Anna,
What a beautiful way of comparing our thoughts to plant life! I love it! I’m always amazed how much happier we would be if we replaced the negative thoughts with positive thoughts. Seems so simple and yet so many of us just forget to do it. Your blog gave me a visual to remind myself that I need to nurture myself in order to grow. And right now, I feel like blossoming!
    Much love,
    Marsha
